Chris Oconnor Email & Phone Number | I have 23 years working for the State of Arizona with the Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation, and Reentry. In that time I have worked all custody levels in different supervisory capacities. I currently perform the duties of a Correctional Administrator with the rank of Major. I am the complex Chief of Security, Staffing Manager, and Emergency Manager. As such I perform many duties to include ensuring our emergency operations response plans are maintained and up to date. I also coordinate and instruct the departments Mental Health Training program for staff. Classes include topics such as personal wellness, communication and rapport, and Mental Health First Aid. During my time as the coordinator we have been able to facilitate the training of hundreds of departmental staff and contractors. I am proud to be part of a program that educates people on the topics of work place fatigue/stress and the signs and symptoms of mental illness. These classes are designed to not only give them the tools recognize it but how to get themselves and others help.
