Chris has over 44 years experience working in the EW environment of which over 20 have been in EW Operational Support activities; this is on a worldwide basis and not restricted to UK business. Chris recently retired as the EW Director with Systematic where he was responsible for all aspects of Electronic Warfare business development within Systematic, including EW Training, EW Support and an advanced EW Database Management Software Solution in his area of responsibility. Chris is also the current Vice President, Awards Chair and Webmaster of the UK Chapter of Association of Old Crows (AOC) and continues to be active in the global EW community across many boundaries of this fast moving discipline. Chris joined the Royal Navy in 1972 and trained as a Communications and Electronic Warfare specialist and has 26 years active service to his name, including as EW Director/IntO on HMS Coventry during the Falkland Islands conflict of 1982. Chris’s final appointment was as the Royal Naval Operations Officer RNEWOS where he was instrumental in the formation of the tri-service UK DEWC, RAF Waddington. In 1998 his efforts were formally recognised in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List with the award of a Military MBE by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for an outstanding contribution to the conduct of Electronic Warfare activities within both the United Kingdom and NATO Communities.
