Managed weapon and ammunition based assets and capability needs/issues at the operational level for all DOG units supporting Homeland Security and NECC missions. Including crew-served/special purpose armed small boat and helicopter assets.Managed Coast Guard's Ordnance program, specializing in new acquisition/recapitalization, life-cycle management and capability gap analysis. Served as sole COTR for up to 23 simultaneous projects. Executed the Coast Guard's purchase and transition for the following weapons; replaced M60 medium machine gun with the M240B/H medium machine gun, replaced the Beretta M9 9mm pistol with the SIG P229R-DAK .40 S&W caliber pistol and replaced Robar RC-50 .50 cal rifle with the Barrett M107 .50 cal rifle. Assisted in the Naval/DoD "type classification" for the .40 caliber S&W cartridges and 57mm deck gun ammunition.
