Chenault Doug Lee Email & Phone Number | Dr Lee gave up his architecture studies to pursue a career in medicine because he was inspired by the personal and humane nature of this profession as portrayed in the Australian TV series “A Country Doctor”. After graduating from the medical school of the University of New South Wales, Australia in 1980, he worked in various hospital and country medical practices in Sydney, Canberra, Albury, New Castle, as well as a privately operated flying doctor service in outback Queensland called the Inland Medical Service. Eventually he established a mostly solo family practice in South Canberra called the Erindale Medical Practice in 1987. After serving the local community at the same location for 30 years, raising two children who have now left home and serving the community in their chosen professions, and still married to the same woman he loved, Dr Lee decided the time has come to scale back his clinical commitment so he can spend more time with his family. Looking back over the years, Dr Lee noticed that a significant proportion of his patients needed help with emotional trauma. Rather than reducing his usefulness to society in his partial retirement, Dr Lee is publishing his experience via a website: www.happinessdoctor.com.au. in order to help more disenchanted people find happiness Continuing in his MO of helping his patients achieve good health and happiness by encouraging them to make lifestyle modifications, Dr Lee is taking on the new role of “life coach” (For further elaboration, please refer to the article “Dr Lee Explains “life Coaching” and happiness”) Dr Lee’s strength lies in being able to communicate effectively and to find solution to problems by utilising existing resources and thinking out of the box. He is not looking for work but is available to participate in small group presentations if that can help someone.
