Charlotte Shepard Email & Phone Number | Over the years I have developed a variety of curriculum for the various subjects that I have taught, and I put my heart and soul into teaching those courses, but I have spent what is probably an unhealthy amount of time outside of school developing and improving the curriculum for my Psychology courses, because it’s really my favorite subject to teach. In recent years, I’ve added Sociology to the mix so now I have twice as much content to obsess over. I have been fortunate enough, over the past few years, to have a full schedule teaching these subjects, which in all transparency, has made it difficult for me to even consider moving elsewhere. I honestly believe that both courses should be required for graduation because they teach us so much about the importance of empathy and how to critically think about ourselves and others. I believe that it is my passion for these subjects that contribute to my ability to promote intellectual curiosity in my students. I go to great lengths, to not only prepare my students to pass my courses, but to also develop independent thinking, creative problem-solving, and healthy coping skills that will hopefully benefit them in their own lives, and if they develop a love for Psychology and/or Sociology along the way, then so be it!
