Chantel Prejean Email & Phone Number | If you would have asked me when I was a child, what I wanted to be when I grew up...I would have told you a singer! Unfortunately, I sing TERRIBLY! Even in my young adult years, I wasn't really sure what kind of career I really wanted. I worked as a data entry clerk for a little while. I was a waitress at a couple different restaurants. I even worked as a cashier. In February of 2014, I was hired with Abshire & Associates as an Administrative Assistant/Accountant/Customer Service Representative. Knowing absolutely nothing about Insurance, I obviously stuck to accounting side of the business. Over time, I became more and more curious about the insurance industry. I finally figured out what kind of career I wanted. I wanted to be an insurance producer. After months filled with long hours of studying and cramming tons of information in my brain at once, I decided to take the exam. Unfortunately, I didn't pass and was beyond upset, especially since I failed by only 5 questions. But I have this saying, " You only fail when you quit trying". I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't take my own advice right? lol So I jumped right back into it, studying even harder. I went back to take the exam but this time, I took my precious time and didn't second guess myself. I truly believe, all goals can be accomplished. Sometimes it just takes a little more hard work and determination. Because I decided I was not going to give up, I accomplished my very first life goal and I am now a licensed property and casualty insurance producer! You can be anyone you want to be. Have faith in yourself and don't stop until you get there :)
