Over 12 years I worked in a number of roles and was ultimately promoted to Regional Manager – Client Services for the Southeastern region. In that role, I was responsible for the profitability of all clients in the Southeastern United States, which totaled over $2.5 billion in assets. In addition, my team provided consulting services on all aspects of defined contribution account management. In May of 2004, I joined Advanced Financial Strategists, In. as Principal and Chief Compliance Officer. In those roles my primary responsibilities included active management of client portfolios, conduct client meetings, interface with vendors on behalf of clients, create and deliver advisory presentations and offer consulting services on a wide range of retirement related topics. All of this was delivered while acting in a fiduciary capacity. AFS Advisors, LLC (my own firm and successor to Advanced Financial) is the legal entity I own with a partner, Keith Sproles. I hold a BS in Accounting from Louisiana State University and the NASD Series 65 securities license. I'm also a designated CFP recipient and hold my Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designation. In my spare time my family and I enjoy traveling, dining out, museums, live theater, sporting events and concerts. We're particularly interested in college football and actively play tennis and golf.
