I aspire to become a Clinical Psychologist and believe that I am on the path to having a great understanding of these issues and how to best help those who have them. My degrees have helped me develop the necessary skills required to work in Psychology such as a great understanding of mental health problems and the context in which they occur and form. I have developed my skills in written and verbal communication, conducting interviews, building formulations, planning interventions based off the formulations, creating boundaries, confidentiality, understanding psychometric tests and research. My formulation and intervention planning skills have increase twofold during my masters where I have been taught by a combination of Clinical, Health and general Psychologists. My working life and and volunteer experiences have helped further these skills and build new transferrable ones such as team work, working in stressful and high pressured environments and remaining calm in emergency situations. The skills and knowledge that I have developed throughout my life will help me in future roles.
