Catherine Mcgowan is a I did the opposite of some people's dreams... After 10 years in B2B Sales (mags, web and exhibitions) I launched my own little 'Sales & Marketing for Small Business' solopreneurship - successfully building it up over 8 years (in its last couple of years, growing from a handful of clients to over 20) - And then I left! To become EMPLOYED, by my biggest client in fact... Materialised. And I couldn't be happier. For me, my desire was never to hire people or to become an agency. It was to have a flexible role whilst bringing up 3 small children and to keep learning (a lot, as it turned out!) So when it grew that much, I needed to scale up the business, and that didn't align with my goals. So I took everything I had learned, and applied that to someone else's company, which I'm passionate about. Materialised are ‘making a difference' to the Australasian furnishing textile and wall covering industry and have done so for over 42 years. And I love being a part of that.
