I have enjoyed a full and varied career thus far, in both the public and private sector in UK and Australia, and also in the commercial sector, selling wound care and continence products. I am a clinician with valuable experience in Palliative Care, Complex Wound Management and Aboriginal women's health. I have experience in change management and was the clinical lead for a new wound model of care for NSLHD (SWIM). I have worked with eVIQ (evidence based cancer care at the click of a button, part of the Cancer Institute NSW), where I had many fantastic opportunities to work on innovative new projects (including project lead for the bibliometrics project - finding the evidence at the click of a button) along with developing educational resources for Aboriginal Health Workers, for use at point of care. I am passionate about nursing and use a strengths-based solution focused approach to navigate challenging health needs in our current health care environments, to help patients and clinicians achieve their goals. I currently work within the community palliative care team as a Nurse Practitioner, including service provision to residential aged care facilities, community palliative care and Hospice in The Home. I am a casual academic at The University of Sydney. I am a keen meditator and Reiki Master and would love to explore the benefits of this and other touch therapies for those receiving palliative care.
