Catherine Burgess Email & Phone Number | I've made sculpture in Edmonton for almost 40 years, taught as a sessional lecturer at the University of Alberta Department of Art and Design, and in the 1970's: worked first as a preparator and then as the registrar at the Edmonton Art Gallery (now the Alberta Gallery of Art.) In the 1990's I also designed and produced custom metal furniture. My sculpture is usually metal, sometime combined with stone or found objects. It often uses both the floor and the wall for support and its distinct elements are seldom connected or fused. Currently I'm on the governing council of the RCA (secretary) and am the RCA Regional Chair for Alberta. I'm one third of an artists group called Tricycle that also includes Walter Jule and Royden Mills. We've recently completed some large outdoor landscape/art projects in collaboration with ISL (Landscape Architects) in Sherwood Park, Alberta. My website is: catherineburgess.ca
