I have always had strong focus on peoples happiness with the empathic ability to quickly understand what situation people are in and being able to support, help or coach them. But I did not know this until later in life. Thus early in life I wanted to become an Engineer and after completing high school I entered and graduated as Bachelor in Engineering within Manufacturing and Management. Worked in jobs within Supply Chain Management for many years and realized that what I was actually working with was Change and people. No matter if it was new processes, analyzing current issues, quality management, environment management, LEAN changes, Agile changes, Work environment management, Management, etc. I approached the tasks with the ability to quickly understand what it was about, getting employees to decide on future approach and make it happen. Since change is the only constant in the world today, there is a lot to cope with in these processes. I have a strong believe in that we are most effective if we are happy with our self. One thing is motivating employees , managers or co-workers with base in new strategy or new knowledge. What if I could motivate them already at educational level. This change in mind made me realize that education of young students was perfect to do that. So after a little more than 20 years in the industry I changed to teaching at Global Business Engineering education at a university college. And I have never regretted it. :-) Today I teach students in Project Management and Management & Strategy. The students are even a broad audience, since they come from all engineering programs at the school, are international and danish full time students and are also exchange students from primarily Europe. So in all I am happy if I get to coach, guide, supervise, teach and make people grow personally. Teaching is definately fun, but I believe it can take place in all places.
