She wrote of one of the leading texts on implementing the Workers Compensation Rehabilitation regulations. Carole owned and managed her own consultancy business specialising in corporate training and rehabilitation management for over twenty years. In addition, as a founding director of EcoSTEPS-Sustainability Partner, Carole has been consulting, training, and educating organisations on sustainability (triple bottom line strategy and implementation) issues since 1999. Carole is a qualified and highly experienced Functional Assessment specialist who works within the medico-legal system; a sought-after rehabilitation case manager with a reputation for getting great outcomes with difficult workers compensation claims. Her focus now is as a chronic pain specialist and trauma counsellor, using the latest research into brain neuroplasticity and psychotherapy approaches, including The Richards Trauma Process and Internal Family Systems Therapy to get outstanding outcomes. Carole believes that any health professional working in rehabilitation and recovery, should have a trauma informed approach. Carole draws on life experiences from rock climbing, scuba diving, running, yoga, meditation, spirituality, and motherhood, as well as her own childhood trauma, to bring wisdom, empathy, humour, and compassion to her work.
