I have experience working in both academic and non-academic spaces: I have worked in fast-paced research labs that have produced policy insights on issues such as unsheltered homelessness, post-COVID hardship, and the opioid crisis. I have also done grant, partnership development, and community outreach work for nonprofit and initiative-driven organizations. My latest accomplishment was defending my doctoral dissertation, "A Tale of Energy-Burdened Cities: Connecting the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit to Energy Insecurity." My dissertation analyzes the impact of low-income housing programs like the LIHTC on energy burdens in urban, U.S. spaces. Using a two-way fixed effects regression, I look at the relationship between the energy efficiency standards of LIHTC housing supply and the portion of income households spend on energy.
