I began my journey while living in Toronto, Canada for a year in 2012. In Jul 2020 I was promoted to a Managed Payments Front Office teammate. This was an exciting role as it was the newest department within eBay and I've been part of the development of this department. Within this position, I gained knowledge on KYC/CDD, as for the first time, eBay required seller verification. I became a Subject Matter Expert of Managed Payments where I offered direct support to front office teammates during their live contacts if they needed additional help with locating a resolution, de-escalating a contact or talking points. I handled escalated contacts while representing the leadership team, and throughout this experience I improved my conflict management skills. I am currently a teammate in the Claims Risk Management team, which returns me to my eBay Money Back Gaurantee roots, with a large element of Fraud & Risk reviews. I handle high value claims, where a factor we consider in our decision is the risk of both buyer and seller accounts involved in the transaction. Determining the level of risk before the claim decision reduces the level of fraudulent activity while mitigating a loss for eBay. This role entails many different aspects - Both buyer be seller account risk reviews, eBay Money Back Guarantee claims resolutions, KYC/CDD while reviewing account restriction appeals and approving claim decisions made by other agents
