I am also passionate about global public heath and health education, and have been on two service-learning trips, and regularly work as an assistant health educator with the Hyacinth AIDS Foundation of New Brunswick. After experiencing the medical world first hand in many different aspects of my life, some of my areas of interest are health disparity and social determinant of health. As a current intern at the Eric B. Chandler Health Center, I have the opportunity to help the New Brunswick community through research and implementation of new health initiatives. My specific area of focus in my internship is pediatric obesity; I am responsible for collecting and analyzing data, as well as evaluating the effectiveness of the obesity initiatives of the health center. I graduated from with Honors from Rutgers University-New Brunswick in May of 2016, with Bachelors of Science Degree in Public Health. I am currently an Administrative Coordinator for Kumon Inc., North America, in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. I am additionally seeking a Master’s Degree in Public Health. I am a hard-working, innovative, effective problem solver, who is eager to learn, and even more eager to implement. Additionally, I am open-minded, driven, dependable, and an enthusiastic team participant. My future career goals include an opportunity for me to connect my passions of public health and medicine, as well as my desire to serve and help others who are in need.
