Professionally, I spent over a decade with Monitor Deloitte in their Strategy Consulting team, working in both the UK and North America. I then joined a rapidly scaling global B2B SaaS company in the e-commerce logistics space as part of their management team. During my time working with large retailers, I observed the significant pressures on brands and recognised the unsustainable environmental impact of the fashion industry. It became clear that a major change was necessary. Despite the presence of environmental strategies in many brands, there remains a scarcity of "easy to adopt" solutions to connect brands to the circular economy. Together with my co-founder Peter, we established Birl to help brands overcome these challenges, focusing on simplicity and speed. The re-commerce space is the fastest-growing area in fashion, presenting immense opportunities for impactful change that benefit both brands and our planet. Our mission is driven by our deep passion and the motivation to create a company that positively contributes to the world, one that our family, friends, and customers can be proud of. As fathers of young children, this goal holds even greater significance for us.
