A few years after working there as a clinical nurse, I was asked to move into an Assistant Nurse Management role. This was not what I was looking for at that stage of my career, so I left this role and decided it was time to keep growing. I tried travel nursing for a brief stint and then moved into a new job at an incredibly busy Level 1 trauma center. I've since moved geographically and thus had to transition to a new hospital. It's been an excellent place to work and my position has morphed over the last few years from a bedside nurse to a Supervisor, to the Clinical Educator. I am now a Clinical Nurse Specialist. This wasn't really my plan at the outset, but I'm quite happy with the results.
