An alumna of Stevenson University, I graduated in May 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and obtained my RN in June 2022. I currently work as a bedside nurse in the renowned Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit at the University of Maryland Medical Center, which is a level one trauma center and 4x Magnet-designated hospital. I am competent in caring for patients who are status-post heart and lung transplant, aortic dissection repair, coronary artery bypass, and valve repair or replacement. As a result, I often work with invasive therapies such as V-A and V-V ECMO, CRRT, VAD, impella, IABP, and lumbar drain. I am an active and involved member of the American Nurses Association (ANA), American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN), and Preventative Cardiac Nurses Association (PCNA). I am currently studying to pursue certification through the AACN for my CCRN, CSC, and CMC. I am extremely motivated to develop my skills and grow professionally. I strive to learn more about healthcare each day, and I hope to put my skills to use to further my knowledge and to enhance the lives of those around me. In the future, I would like to work in the Trauma Resuscitation Unit at R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland and begin my journey toward becoming a flight nurse.
