After five years on staff, I was offered one of eight positions as a dedicated Charge Nurse for the Emergency Center. With over nine years of emergency experience, I accepted the role of Pediatric Trauma Program Manager in 2009. In 2014, I successfully led the Pediatric Trauma Program through both Pediatric Level II trauma verification with the American College of Surgeons as well as designation through the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. In 2017, 2020 and 2024 we were re-verified with the ACS and re-designated with MDHHS as a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center.
