As a business student in the Kelley School of Business, this means being compassionate towards others, joining organizations that reflect my values and being able to adapt to new conflicts that arise. My involvement in organizations such as Student Accounting Society (SAS), Kelley Guides and being a Peer Mentor in the Jellison Living Learning Community. All of these organizations and clubs have provided me opportunities to help further my career and develop myself professionally as well as create an impact in communities around me. These experiences have shaped me into being the hardworking reliable and adaptive student that I am today. In my IU's chapter of SAS, I was able to start networking and connecting with business professionals and work with other members to diversify and expand my view of the accounting field. In the future I want to become a Certified Public Accountant and I know that the skills and knowledge I have obtained through my years in school will ultimately help me succeed in the accounting industry.
