These roles have included leading global Process Safety and Risk Management (PSM/PSRM) efforts, updating and developing corporate PSRM standards, and developing PSRM training and workshops. He is the co-author with James A. Klein for the book Process Safety: Key Concepts and Practical Approaches (CRCPress, 2017) and is the principal author of three CCPS guideline books: 1) Process Safety During the Transient Operating Mode: Managing Risks During Start-ups and Shut-downs (Wiley, 2021); 2) Siting and Layout of Facilities (Wiley, 2018); and 3) Integrating Management Systems and Metrics to Improve Process Safety Performance (Wiley, 2016). Bruce has written and edited courses for AIChE’s Safety and Chemical Engineering Education (SAChE) committee. In 2021, he was recognized as an AIChE Fellow; in 2022, as a CCPS Fellow.
