I am resourceful, and while I will never have all the answers, I certainly know how to get them. My approach with my clients is first and foremost consultative. Clients often need things they do not understand, or things they do not realize are needed to solve their problem. Conversely, some clients want something that may meet their requirements, but it’s not what they need to help them achieve their ultimate goals or overcome their challenges. My responsibility is to help them navigate those waters. In either case, I’ll never sell a client something that does not add value to the business. My mission is not just to make money. That’s part of it, but at the end of the day, I have to earn the trust that leads to my clients giving me their business. Then I have to stay involved - continue to build the relationship – to help with other solutions that the client may need. I have to make sure that the client gets maximum value not just from what I have sold, but how it might integrate with what I will be selling the next time. This all takes time, and time is a necessary part of the investment, which I’m willing to make. Customer first. Company second. Self is later in the equation. Focusing on the first two should all but guarantee long-term success with the last. This is my mantra; it is my mission. It is who I am.
