In this lab I was responsible for constructing plasmids using DNA subcloning techniques and transfecting the construct into eukaryotic cells. This insertion into the cells was validated by PCR and protein levels were confirmed by Western blot. I furthered my skills in R&D at Stowers Institute for Medical Research as a research technician studying prions, specifically protein aggregation. Here I perfected my molecular biology laboratory techniques and practices. Focused on project management, efficiency, and properly communicating science. Currently, I am at Natera in the Signatera CLIA department working as the CLO Lead.
