Developing and reviewing HR policies and procedures.  Developing, coordinating and aligning strategic planning processes.  Providing guidance on the development of social norms, standards and practices to all workshop staff.  Compiling agendas, chairing and follow up on resolutions of meetings.  Completing monthly figures and board reports  Recruitment and Selection  Administration of RMI; MIBCO and SARS returns.  Attending to general administration of all serving members under my designated unit.  Maintaining the personal records of employees on matters such as wages, leave and training, and preparing associated reports.  Advertising staff vacancies through compilation of unpublished orders and assessing applications, interview applicants, administer selection tests, prepare reports and make recommendations to commanders about staff appointments.  Dealing with all pay matters concerning members under my unit.  Disbursing reports and documents, travel vouchers, vendor payments and pay documents to and from the army headquarters.  Preparing and posting of all payroll changes including payroll deductions, salary changes, termination, and new employee information to the Zimbabwe Army Pay and Records Department (ZAPAR).  Responding to requests from financial institutions regarding verification of employment.  Maintaining physical and computerized files including payroll records, absent-from-duty reports, and service records.  Coordinating of sequences associated with administrative activities in terms of conditions, standards, and procedures in relation to documentation and record keeping.  Arranging and conducting staff training  Attending to individual serving members and their families / dependants experiencing social problems in an attempt to identify/ establish the root cause of these problems and working out solutions or making appropriate referrals.  Providing advice and information to commanders and serving members on human resource policies and procedures, including equal opportunity, anti-discrimination and occupational health and safety programmes as stipulated in the defence act.  Mobilizing and developing resources essential in providing solutions to the various social problems experienced by serving members and their families/ dependants.  Keeping members well informed of welfare programs within the organization.
