Brian has managed the transition of the AIC to the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act) and earlier from the Commonwealth Authorities and Companies Act 1997 (CAC Act) to the Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997 (FMA Act). He has experience in the redevelopment and reengineering of financial management processes and systems, including project management, financial management reporting, activity based costing and financial statements. Brian was also instrumental in the identification and implementation in organisational efficiency to drive overhead support costs down and sustain the AIC’s financial viability during an extended period of budget contraction. Brian was also responsible for the review and implementation of the Risk Management Framework and planning along with the implementation of the Protective Security Framework and practices within the AIC. More recently Brian played a key role on the Senior Executive consultation committee with respect of the merger of the AIC with the Australian Crime Commission.
