Before my training I was honorably discharged from the US army. Prior to my service, I joined the California Conservation Corps. After I spent a season as a sawyer with the CCC, out of camp San Luis Obispo. I went on to work with an architectural landscaping firm, constructing and renovating outdoor features & landscapes. I enjoyed the challenge this work presented me. With the housing market crash, came less business. So I found my way in to the health care field, specializing in Alzheimer’s and dementia patients. This type of work is eye opening, I found in me a new understanding and patience. Being from a long lineage of men who served the military, I decided to serve. After multiple deployments to both Iraq and Afghanistan in my more than 8 years active duty service I’m reaching closer to the end of my contract and I am looking for a new profession to dedicate myself to. I’m always eager to learn more skills; I would say the ability that comes with knowledge is the key to leading people with motivation, direction and purpose. I am bilingual, fluent in Spanish and English, I love to use the two languages to bring more understanding in a work place. I have many skills I have learned in the military any were from small arms repair certificates to using many heavy machines to accomplish any number of tasks . I have a lot of experience in giving instructional classes and helping people gain the knowlwdge they need to accomplish the mission. A leader must have knowledge.
