Brian Delong is a As a long-term construction manager – who has led large-scale projects in retail, education, and government sectors – I have a knack for bringing clarity to highly-complex projects. Whether it is a renovation, new build, or capital project – there is always a significant amount of information to consider and countless moving parts. It is my job to separate what is important from “the noise” so that my contractor teams can focus on what they do best – build. I am also a natural problem solver and can quickly get to the root of issues so that effective solutions can be developed. Construction projects have so many workstreams and people involved that issues emerge almost daily. Challenges with budgets, materials, and labor are commonplace – but the key is to resolve them quickly without the client noticing. Perhaps it is my “glass half full mentality”, but I believe that every problem has a solution. Finally, I am skilled at juggling many projects simultaneously. Over the years, I have learned to seamlessly pivot from one project to the next to keep new bids flowing, projects moving, and clients happy. This has enabled me to deliver construction projects routinely on-time and within budget.
