I work also for the Emergency Preparedness Unit which trains for highly infectious disesease such as ebola. I have additional training in CRRT using the prismaflex and tablo dialysis machines, impellas, Intra aortic Ballon pumps and LVADs, I completed my bachelor's of science in nursing (2019) and a bachelors of science in business in 2016. I am a member of Delta Mu Delta international business honor society. I have worked in health care since 1999. I have worked both in the pharmacy and on the floor as a nurse tech and a CNA prior to becoming an R.N. l have gained my management and leadership knowledge from my positions with in the Civil Air Patrol as a squadron commander and former chief of staff for the Utah wing. In my volunteer organization with the civil air patrol I have recieved 3 commanders commendations from the Utah wing commander and have recieved one national commanders commendation. I have served as a squadron commander and and chief of staff for Utah wing. I currently serve as the health services officer at the wing level for the state of Utah. Within the organization I hold the rank of Major and have achieved the Grover C. Loening award for level 3 achievement. I have also completed the unit commanders course, squadron leadership course, corporate learning course, training leaders for cadets, and officer basic course. In addition I have had experience in teaching several of these courses. thoa has provided valuable resources in my Healthcare roles and to function within dynamic teams and as a charge nurse on the ICU units.
