I am skilled in User Experience, React-Native, TypeScript, Redux, RiotJs, Vue, jQuery, C# & Umbraco to name a few. I have been managing teams for over 8 years with the responsibilities of hiring, career growth, remuneration and discipline. I currently oversee a mix of Mobile and Full-Stack engineers, delivering the mobile applications and required API’s. Previously, I was regional manager managing the Ballito development hub at League Digital Agency, where I oversaw a mix of mobile, front-end and back-end engineers, as well as content producers. I started out as a web designer and developer when HTML was based around frames, frame sets and tables, many years ago. I believe a website or application should always be beautiful, with the finer details making all the difference in usability. I have been working in UMBRACO as my CMS of choice for over 10 years. Unlike other CMS's out there, it can be used for any system / application without restrictions. I see UMBRACO as a framework rather than a CMS. With UMBRACO being totally open source and me loving what they do, I have been involved in developing packages to compliment the software. I won the 2017 international best package award for my package "Dominant Colour Picker", which is one of my career highlights. I also built a self documenting and self discoverable hypermedia API plugin to auto generate APIs, which is currently used by many large corporates globally. I am a believer in working smart and not hard, but I’m willing to put in the time when required. Things need to be done right, and I have to understand why things work the way they do. I'm not satisfied with a happy mistake. I have a vast understanding of the internet and everything that goes on behind the scenes of an outstanding website or app, from SEO / micro data and useful searching to API's and UX. I went to Art school and later studied design where I developed a critical design eye, which enables me to build beautiful sites and apps without sacrificing usability
