I am particularly interested in how perceptions vary as a function of perpetrator and victim gender and sexual orientation. I have served as an Expert Witness and legal consultant in various homicide and family violence cases, with expertise in intimate partner violence and self-defense. I am an experienced primary evaluator and consultant for various federal and state educational, law enforcement, justice, treatment, and private programs, including the Department of Education (after-school and teaching programs), the Department of Corrections, and Camp Noah. I also assessed gang violence in association with the 222 Corridor for the National Institute of Justice. My teaching interests include introductory psychology, research methods, social and forensic psychology, program evaluation, the science of psychology, careers in psychology, and sexual and domestic violence.
