I have always felt very passionate about both and after working as an acute care nurse for 30 years I now have the opportunity and privilege to share my knowledge, experiences, and passion with those who have been called into the profession of nursing. I graduated with ADN from WWCC in 1981. BSN (2007) and MSN in Nursing Education (2008) from University of Phoenix. I have 30 years of acute care nursing mostly in the Emergency Department and ICU. I was a Chief Flight Nurse for a helicopter air ambulance in mid 1980's which was very exciting and challenging. I began my formal teaching experience as the Nursing Skills Lab Coordinator at WWCC from 2003 to 2008. After earning my MSN in Nursing Education, I was promoted as First Year Nursing Faculty (classroom and clinical instruction) in fall of 2008 to present. I earned tenure in 2011.
