Breanne Mcallister Email & Phone Number | When we are asked about the job that we can see ourselves doing in the future the answers are usually teachers, police officers, doctors and other important every day jobs. In my case however there was only ever one thing that every job I had in mind revolved around, that grounding point was history. Ever since I was a little kid history was always something that I found fascinating probably because it showed how much we had changed and evolved throughout time! In terms of work experience I started working at Blue Mountain in the Ski and Snowboard Rentals division in 2014 and I had originally started as a boot technician which involved me working directly with the consumers in order to make sure that they had the best experience possible while at Blue Mountain. The following year I was promoted to cashier which held a higher level of responsibility and organization. While at this job I was forced to learn how to quickly adapt to different scenarios properly in order to keep consumers happy as well as to diffuse less than ideal situation. My current workplace deals with some of the same skills as mentioned above, however at Sobeys I also had to hone my ability to multi-task which is a key part of working in the deli department as a deli clerk. I have many skills that would be extremely beneficial to work in the customer service field such as organization, time management as well as the ability to speak in a more public setting. For example I have been doing speeches and projects for years that require me to speak in front of a crowd so I am able to comfortably speak on almost any topic. However, in the future I do hope to be able to continue my with my studies to one day become an Archaeologist. I am currently doing my second year at Trent University in the Bachelors of Science program for Archaeology, then I hope to go on and get my Master degree and then maybe go on to get my PhD. I have always been told that if you are really passionate about something then you should follow your heart, or pursue it no matter what other people think and that is exactly what I intend to do after I graduate University.
