High school and college summers working as a parts-runner, laborer and flagger left me respecting the industry, but not compelled to make it my career. That is until I learned how to test concrete. Who knew I'd find a career in quality management incorporating so much of what I enjoy: research, writing, action with tangible results, improvement initiatives, training, working with innovative and interesting people, being outside, and getting dirty. MY SERVICES QA/QC Program Management, Facilitation and Coaching (think of me as your part-time Corporate Quality Manager): ✔I work with agencies to develop QA/QC program requirements rightsized for the specific division, project type, size and funding partner needs. ✔I provide comprehensive QA/QC program development and staff training to help teams deliver on their quality commitments. ✔ I facilitate specific quality functions including Lessons Learned Workshops, Root Cause Analysis and Records Assessments (aka Audits) aimed at compliance and improvement. ✔ I am a resource for quality processes during all phases of the project with expertise in FTA, FHWA, PCI and Army Corps of Engineers quality requirements. ✔ I deliver enthusiastic presentations to shed light on QA/QC practices and expose professionals at all levels to their value. Design/Construction Management: ✔ I support teams with specific tasks including technical writing; execution of Clarifications, Change Orders, Field Orders; Submittal and quality issue review; safety certifiable items management; project controls; document control and close-out. I have over 25 years of QA/QC program, design and construction management experience on CM/GC, D/B and D/B/B projects with contract values ranging from 200,000 to 1.2 billion. My experience as a business owner, inspector, QA/QC manager, quality director, and design manager brings a unique understanding of transit and highway project design, funding, scheduling, budgets, and project delivery.
