After 13 years at Loyola University, I knew it was time to make a switch and pursue a career that was more in line with my interests and talents. I had no inclination that it would take me into full time ministry. At Church of the Resurrection I get to work with Middle School and High School students on a weekly basis. Together we take a candid look at the questions, challenges, and joys of life. We bat around those big questions about the meaning of life... our purpose in being here... and what it is that brings true value to one's life. Most importantly, we see how scripture and Jesus shape the answers to these questions in significant ways. Finally, we consider the largest question of all; who was Jesus and does He have any impact in our lives today? I have always known that I wanted to work in a counseling setting. I never once expected that I would be counseling students to consider the most fundamental and critical questions about ourselves.
