I started my career at Industrial Light and Magic in the Optical department and transitioned to the digital age in 1993 at Cinesite Digital Studios, working on the first full digital restoration of Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs for Disney Studios. I was instrumental in the development and creation of the Digital Intermediate process, having worked with Chris Watts, to setup the first feature film (Pleasantville) to go through a complete scanning, digital color manipulation and output back to film. This process increased a DP's ability to get on the screen the directors vision of his project and is used today on all major motion pictures. My experience includes 35mm B/W element film processing, optical compositing, digital paint, digital scanning/recording, data I/O, DI Producing, Operations, Scheduling, and the management of employees. I am currently and permanently retired, living and fishing in paradise.
