Blaine Lander Email & Phone Number | I started my career in Public Safety as a 911 Emergency Dispatch with the Springdale, AR Police Department at the age of 18. I learned to work as a team member in a large dispatch center that staffed five dispatchers at a time. I later moved to the Oklahoma City area and furthered my career as a dispatcher. One day I got the call to become a Patrol Officer with the Union City Police Department. I got to be a part of the change of a new agency with all new staff and Cheif of Police. I developed into a pro-active and community involved officer. I started the Union City Police Shop with a Cop program in 2015 enabling the department to give Christmas to children of the community that would go without. I was honored to receive the Officer of the Year award in 2015 and 2016. I was also promoted to Patrol Sergeant in 2016 and tasked with being over the department's evidence room and municipal warrants. I attended college and graduated with my Master's in Public Safety Leadership and Administration. I hope that this degree and knowledge I have learned through my career will assist me in becoming a Chief of Police.
