Blaine Hopwood Email & Phone Number | I have been with State Street Bank for almost 5 years now. I started as an intern within SEC Reporting, a Corporate Accounting function, assisting in the production of the 10Q and 10K. Through my experience as an intern, I was able to garner interest for entrance into the Finance Rotational Development program as a senior associate. I went through a series of 4, 6 month rotations within the Corporate Finance department. Within the program, I held FP&A roles both for BU Finance as well central reporting which gave me both a macro and micro view of State Street business functions with reporting duties directly to management. I also held a Client on-boarding role for State Street Global Advisors, working with the RMs to ensure accuracy in fee schedule contracts and IMAs with regards to new business, lost business and transfers. Led the training of the offshore team in order to move the on-boarding work to low cost locations as State Street strategy shifted. I finished up my rotational experience with the First Line of Defense team, gaining insight into regulatory process, controls and testing through the support of FLOD project plan. Managed the stand up of the new Third Party Risk Management process and our transition into the new archer database. Upon graduating from the program, I took an Officer role with State Street Beacon in the Finance controller organization for the IT project finance, expense management program. Ensuring the target of 500M company savings was achieved over a 5 year period. We met the goal in 3.5, where I made contributions for 1.5 years. Once we achieved our goal, I took an officer role within the LFO organization for our Global Product business. As LFO organization we support the development and preparation of periodic financial statements, manage headcount across global locations and collaborate/ advise our business partners to ensure short-term and long-term financial planning aligns with overall business strategy and projections.
