I have used computational, machine learning tools and statistics for problems such as metal binding sites prediction in proteins and diseases susceptibility of covid. In my first year of research I tried predicting where a metal could bind to a protein given the spatial 3D geometric patterns of c alpha and c beta atoms of its backbone through machine learning SVM and Random Forest algorithm. I also published an article to show that the pandemic affects high GDP country due to higher prevalence of autoimmunity, sanitation and lower prevalence of parasitic infections through multiple linear regression models. I am currently working in determining ethnicity related Single nucleotide polymorphism to unravel differential susceptibility in different populations. For this I am using publicly available genome sequencing data.
