Focusing on the larger autism and developmental disability community, I can develop and strengthen your advocacy plan with insights and recommendations. My personal journey has been broad, pursuing philanthropic projects with Martha’s Table in Washington DC, the Area Agency on Aging in Loudoun County delivering meals to seniors and most recently fostering two medical alert puppies to prepare them to become compassionate service dogs for people with disabilities. My most recent passion includes homeschooling my beloved son, Liam. During this time, I’ve gained a deeper appreciation and respect for the true meaning of education. Our daily syllabus includes: profound life experiences, environmental stewardship, virtues building, humanitarian efforts, deeper relationships, hands-on learning, all the while raising a quality human being so he can then carry out his life’s own gifts, talents and passions. Neurodiversity and advocating for young people with special needs has become a well-received and beneficial skillset I’ve acquired out of necessity. It’s funny how life can take you down a path that your own personal perceived deficient ends up being your greatest strength and gift to share with others. While my responsibilities and aspirations provide a full plate, it is what I’m best at and I wholeheartedly enjoy supporting those in need. I’ve met so many great people through my travels through work, friends and life experiences and am actively pursuing opportunities to continue to advocate for children’s education and social & emotional growth for achieve their ultimate potential.
