Immigrants from Ethiopia, English speaking countries, Russia, and others all enjoy themselves at the library. People of all ages, all economic levels and across the religious spectrum, come to the library to find books, relax, learn and enjoy the welcoming environment. Our library has a dedicated staff and a large army of volunteers who come on a weekly basis. Again, all lines are crossed amongst our volunteers. The BCL librarians are helpful, warm and welcoming to all our members and drop-ins. We offer free homework help to children from K-12 all year long, four afternoons each week. Free. Otherr programs include weekly storyhour, monthly book and film club for adults, a girls empowerment program, free computers for homework use, summer reading club, and frequent special activities geared towards kids to encourage reading. The library is not a quiet place; its a fun place. It is for our children to acquire a love of books, learning and higher education.
