Benjamin Redding Email & Phone Number | My historical research focuses on early modern maritime and naval history. With more than ten years experience of independent research, I have presented my findings at national and international conferences and seminars series. I have published four peer-reviewed journal articles, seven book reviews, and my first book that compares the development of the English and French navies from 1500-1650 will be published in 2021. I have taught on a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate modules relating to history. In 2017-2018, I convened my own module on the French Wars of Religion. I have participated in the teaching and curriculum design of first and second year team-led undergraduate modules. I have supervised undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations and long essays on topics including naval development under Charles I, catholic Ritual during the French Wars of Religion, representations of kingships and, the Anglo-Scottish Union of 1707.
