Benjamin Akie Palmer Email & Phone Number | Born in Sierra Leone and having lived with different kinds of people, Benjamin has been exposed to many types of cultures both in Africa, Germany and in the UK. He picked up photography back in 1998 when renowned Swedish journalist Tommy Schonstedt send him a Fuji 35mm camera. He grew a love for learning more about photography and eventually went on to attend workshops and training on photography organised by The Thompson Foundation in his native land. Over the years, his work has evolved from being a news reporter/photographer travelling all over his country of birth, to one who finds himself in a great position to shoot across multiple genres with ease whilst incorporating editing and design images. He loves doing all this alongside shooting church activities, situational life like portraits, events and studio photography. He is insatiable quest for knowledge has left him with a profound curiosity on the evolving world and how it has become such a global village by his keen interest in the stories of the people he meets daily. He is an extrovert and a highly emotionally intelligent individual. His work is rooted in places, identities and documentary photography. He seeks to explore the complex relationship between subject and photographer. He also loves creative problem-solving and research: on people, their lives, culture, orientation and ideologies, which he finds absolutely fascinating.
