Mainly due to several consecutive year hardship in group’s management environment, the Holdings Co. has embarked on the journey of digital transformation in the aim of strengthening business competency, and I had been taking a key place along the way. I participated in designing and building up the group’s digital transformation framework. One of constituent pillars of the framework is to achieve the agility of datacenters, and I had acted PM for 2 years in one of greatest AWS mass migration projects in Asia, which had been kicked off as part of getting to the goal. The project aims migrating 1,500 servers during 3 years with spending of U 7.3M, and since the kickoff, accomplishments include implementing Landing Zone and migrating 700+ over to AWS from on-prem. Among migrated services are there many mission critical enterprise ones such as S/4 Hana, HPC, MES and etc. In addition to accomplishments of successful migrations of mission critical services, I had also spanned out my contribution in digitalization into the people area. While leading up 60+ FTEs in infrastructure chapter under my responsibility, I articulated new additional digitals jobs to legacy ones including Cloud Core Engineer, Cloud Infra Engineer, Cloud Finance Management, Architecture Alignment, and conducted on active change management activities such as Digital FC assessment, training to certified professionals, promoting best cases, etc. These actively rolled out movements have led to 30+ engineers of AWS Pro certification and also to the partner level upgrade to ‘Advanced’ from ‘Select’ in shorted period in Korea. During my work in Doosan, I had spent many years in working in Information Strategy, CIO Office, Holdings co., while planning and implementing group-wise strategies on many infrastructure agenda including domestic/abroad datacenters, LAN/WAN/Global backbones, VoIP, Active Directory, etc. as well as maintain IT governance based upon IT policy. Also I had played as PMO for Global HRIS project which would take care of all HR matters for entire employees over the world. Throughout the project, I had reported for 3 years to the steering committee consisted of the group CIO, the group CHRO, and the group head of GHR. As studied in the major of computer science (Bachelor) and mobile TCP/IP (Master), I started work career as software development engineer for TRS in Samsung SDS. Working in mobile software development area helped me out a lot in obtaining in-depth knowledge system management software.
