Bastian Thun is a Starting my gaming career in the community space for Star Wars: The Old Republic at BioWare in 2011, I was part of the transition from traditional community management to the modern approach of social media marketing and development communications. After working on a variety of AAA franchises (e.g., Battlefield 4, Star Wars: Battlefront) at Electronic Arts, I joined Crytek during the advent of VR gaming to build relationships with their community of tech evangelists before moving in a more production-centric role, working on community content and retention pipelines for Hunt: Showdown. In 2017, I joined Ubisoft Mainz to create the community development initiative for Anno 1800. As Communications Manager for Ubisoft Mainz, I am in charge of all internal and external studio communication.
