I was an attorney in the Washington, D.C., office of the U.S. Comptroller of the Currency, the regulator of national banks, prior to joining Holland & Knight. Among other things, I was involved in forming the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council and drafted and interpreted numerous banking regulations. I was a co-chair of the firm's Opinions Committee, which oversees the preparation of third-party legal opinions and am responsible for approving opinions prior to issuance by the firm.
