Austin Bennett Email & Phone Number | Hey there I’m Austin, I graduated in spring 2023 with my BA in sociology from University at Buffalo. After graduating I started working at UB as a classification and compensation analyst. I love being able to work at the school I graduated from and in higher ed in general. I love my role as classification and compensation analyst. I love learning about different jobs, salary strategies and organizational structures. I like working in higher ed because to me it represents a place of innovation and learning, where people can grow themselves professionally, socially, even spiritually. I really can’t emphasize my curiosity and love towards all imaginable jobs. I love discovering the career paths people have crafted for themselves: - That’s why I love LinkedIn and connecting with others to see their journeys - That’s why I sought to work at career services and made it my main undergrad work experience - That’s why I sought to work in HR after graduating (though I still spent a long time in indecision, researching 1000’s of jobs and industries to be sure in my decision) My own extensive career research, general interest, thought, as well my time working at career services nurtured my developing entrepreneurial spirit from seed since high school, watered intermittently during undergrad, now it’s at the point where you can just see the green coming through the dirt - but still a ways to go 🌱 Besides my awesome job at UB, entrepreneurship (and my side projects therein) I also love to write for purposes of enjoyment, problem solving and content creation for websites and books. As someone with a stutter, writing also presents itself as a great means of communicating the exact thing I want to say, rather than whatever is easiest to articulate verbally. I also like nature, astronomy, earth science and emerging AI. Thanks for coming to my TED talk
