I began my career in private practice and after a few years moved on as General Counsel for a well-known financial institution. When the public corruption Fujimori-Montesinos case broke out in Peru, I was called to the Special State Attorney’s Office to investigate the money laundering issues, recovering assets worth over 150 million. I later worked as an advisor for the Special Investigative Commission on Corruption of the Peruvian Congress, being invited a few months later to lead the anti-corruption department at the Comptroller General’s Office. In 2005 I moved to Washington, D.C. to join the Office of Institutional Integrity of the Interamerican Development Bank - IDB, working mainly on cases in Central and South American countries. Since then, I have worked as Coordinator for the MCC/USAID Anti-corruption Threshold Program; for a National Program designed to reduce poverty in Peru, as Compliance Officer to a Spanish construction company and currently as Audit Consultant at AEP in Columbus, Ohio. Throughout my career I've participated as speaker at events in the United States, Brazil, Ecuador, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru, Dominican Republic, South Africa and Thailand and I have worked both in the public and private sectors.
