I have had a key role in tendering, providing design reviews and assisting (team effort, always!) in bidding & securing complex technical MEP projects for example:- In regards to the 'sainsburys' contract I was responsible for undertaking the MEP services condition reports, pricing and producing a technical report detailing my findings regarding system upgrades or/and retro-fit. My report formed a scope of works to the technical engineering team hence a high level of detail was required. My reports were interrogated line by line by the in house engineering team in terms of cost, design and scope of works. Main Contractor - The Largest project which I have had the lead pre-con role which involved costing and managing/interrogating design/scope which has been secured and orders placed within budget is Manhattan Loft Gardens, high end Mixed use development in Stratford, with an M&E Value 25 Million. Secured by Bouygues. I have experience with pricing and securing MEP projects up to 150 Million in value (Battersea power station phase 3 with Bouygues UK). I have built on very solid experiences with some of the top performing MEP contractors. I am extremely ambitious and hope to continue my development. I found the industry very challanging within my early years as there is so much to learn, however I have really focused on becoming the 'go to guy' regarding pre-con within the MEP industry. I have a real passion for my work and really enjoy most challenges it has to offer, I hope to develop in to a strong Pre-con Director where I can develop a team and bring in profitable work which supports all of our ambitions. In the next few years i aim to become a highly respected and well known figure within the MEP industry. I hope to develop a strong and loyal client base. My proudest achievement is helping people develop there raw skills into becoming solid technical engineers and estimators (i remember coming into this industry and feeling out of place so being able to help others to find there place has no better feeling in my professional life). This is a challenging industry but we must remember to enjoy it where possible. My main belief is the harder you work the luckier you become and with my current work/life achivements i am very lucky (as my wife reminds me!). My overall goal is to become become a Managing Director of a leading MEP contractor which I hope to build from the grond up (I will get there eventually but atm I'm really enjoying the journey).
