Dr. Sands serves as adjunct professor in the Department of Human and Molecular Genetics at Baylor College of Medicine. He has also published many scientific and medical articles and is an inventor on numerous patents related to the discovery of human genes and their use in the development of new therapies. Dr. Sands holds an M.D. and a Ph.D. from Baylor College of Medicine and a B.A. in economics and political science from Yale University.
